40 Electoral College members demand briefing on Russian interference

Forty members of the Electoral College on Tuesday signed a letter demanding an intelligence briefing on Russian interference in the election ahead of their Dec. 19 vote. Ten electors originally signed the letter when it was published Monday, and 30 more have since added their names.

Although there’s a concerted effort to sway the electoral college vote, it seems unlikely electors would disrespect the election process and vote against the will of the people they represent. Additionally, the RNC seems to be keeping a close eye on the situation.
