Florida unemployment rate holds steady as state adds 10,500 jobs

Florida’s unemployment rate held steady in January from December, staying at a 10-year low of 3.9 percent. The state added a solid 10,500 jobs in January. While Tampa Bay had one of the largest gains over the year for job growth with 26,400 jobs, its unemployment also rose to 3.9 percent in January from 3.4 percent December.
